Saturday August 29,2026 3pm
Lake City, Minnesota
You are Invited to Our 25th Anniversary
Vow Renewal and Celebration!
The Details:
3:00 PM at the neighborhood beach in downtown Lake City.
Sean and I will renew our vows to celebrate 25 years of marriage with our closest family and friends, and commit to the next 25 years with God as our foundation.
What to wear:
Casual dressy, comfy, beachy.
Please bring your own chair if attending the ceremony
(location of ceremony pictured)
Celebration:
After the ceremony, we will celebrate at our house with dancing, yard games, a swimming pool, and a light supper.
The pool is 4 ft deep, 15×15×48 above ground, and fits 10 at a time
A note about the pool and children:
Children are welcome. They may swim alone only if they can stand with their feet on the pool bottom; otherwise, a parent must stay in the water with them at all times. We are not responsible for children.
Gifts:
When Sean and I married in 2001, our photographer was inexperienced, so the photos turned out poorly. In 2014, when we renewed our vows in my grandparents’ backyard—my childhood dream—the pictures weren’t great either, despite the sentimental setting.
Third time’s the charm: this time, we’ve hired a skilled professional from our church to capture the day with care and attention. If you’d like to bless us with a gift, we would be so grateful if you contributed to our photography fund using any of these links. We don’t need anything except memories in photos!
Alcohol:
We are not serving alcohol; alcohol is allowed, but we will not be serving it. You are welcome to bring your own, but we assume no responsibility. Be safe, be smart!
Where to stay the night:
The party will conclude at 10 pm. Lake City has a noise ordinance that goes into effect at 10 pm.
There are several hotels and camping locations in the area; book soon to ensure a reservation!
25 years of love, laughter, and blessings!
The Story God Was Writing 🤍
“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” — Psalm 126:3

💕 It Started with a Dance Floor…
Tammy and I used to dance the night away at Tropix every single weekend. Somehow, I had never noticed Sean before.
One night I looked across the room and thought…
“Dang… he’s a hottie!” 😂
Ironically, my purse had recently been stolen, so I had to get a new phone. I figured it was the perfect excuse to ask for his number!
Well… I got his number……and then forgot to call him. 😬 Oops!
The following weekend I told him I would definitely call him!
He teased me, saying, “Yeah right, whatever.”
I told him, “No, I promise!”
He replied, “Fine… but call before 9 a.m. because I’m going fishing.”
I remember thinking…
“What 21-year-old voluntarily wakes up at 9 a.m. to go fishing?”
Turns out… Sean did. 😆 I would learn soon enough he was an AVID fisherman!
I woke up at 8:50, called him just in time, and we talked for almost two hours until his dad made him hang up to go fishing!

❤️ The Beginning of Forever
The next night, we met up at Tropix, hung out, and he gave me a ride in his car
The first thing I noticed?
He drove a red Nissan Mach 1.
I thought… “This guy is hot… with a hot car!” 😂
Not long after that, we started dating, and our very first official date was his grandpa’s birthday party.
I’ll never forget it. Family was important to me, and it made my heart happy to know it was important to him too!
⸻
🥰 Falling in Love
The first time I met Sean’s family, I was so nervous.
Then his mom pulled out…BABY PICTURES!
I remember thinking, “Only moms in 80’s sitcoms do that!” 😂 That was enough for me to know this guy was THE ONE!
I was completely smitten.
We became inseparable.
Just a few months later, on Easter, I found out I was pregnant with Jake.
Soon after, Sean asked me to marry him.
That August…we said, “I do.”

🌿 Twenty-Five Years Later
Life hasn’t always been easy.
Our knot has been stretched by raising children, special needs parenting, heartbreaking loss, grief, healing, and seasons we never imagined walking through.
But…it has never been broken.
Through every high and every valley, God has remained faithful.
He has carried us, strengthened us, and reminded us again and again that a cord of three strands truly is not quickly broken.
⸻
🤍 Still Amazed
Our wedding song was “Amazed.”
Twenty-five years later…I can honestly say…I’m still amazed.
Amazed by the man God gave me.
Amazed by His faithfulness.
Amazed that after all these years, we still choose each other every single day.
And now…we can’t wait to celebrate this beautiful journey with the people who have loved, prayed for, laughed with, and walked beside us through it all.
Thank you for being part of our story.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you. 🤍
Meet Our Wonderful
“We Still Do Crew!”
Matron of Honor
Kendall Pavlak
God knew exactly what He was doing when He made us neighbors. We’ve only lived next door a few years, but it felt like we’d been best friends from the start. We bonded as fellow non-drivers, proud “Passenger Princesses,” laughed until we cried about our own neighborhood “Ugly Naked Guy,” IYKYK! We have hilarious inside jokes, and we have ridden out literal storms on the lake together. “You Jump, I Jump.” We didn’t just build a friendship—we built a family. Through every laugh and every changing season, Jesus has been the steady foundation beneath us. She’s my fiercest prayer warrior, my favorite partner in problem-solving, and my sister from another mister. Some friendships are discovered—ours was God allll GOD!
I never thought Sean and I would be blessed to have best friends who were a couple, and here we are…God is so good!
Best Man

Whatever one does, the other isn’t far behind. Same car, Matching wedding bands—just different inner colors. Same stance on the softball field. Same walk. Same look. They even get home runs right after the other lol! If you know them, you know. 😂
But what they share goes far beyond the similarities. They’ve built a bond rooted in loyalty, trust, and having each other’s backs.
They’re not just best friends—they’re brothers from other mothers. The kind of brotherhood that’s hard to find and impossible to replace. God didn’t make them blood relatives, but He gave them something just as strong: a brother for life. 🤝
Honor Squad
Libby
Libbs and I go way back to 7th grade! She is my giggle-til-I-have-a-tummy-ache, true-blue, be-yourself-no-matter-what friend. She is beautiful inside and out and never hesitates to tell it like it is, and that honesty is one of the many things I love about her. Our memories range from decorating Tammy’s yard to cruising down 494 blasting “Holding Out for a Hero,” and so many more moments that make me smile. It’s a genuine honor to be her friend.
Tammy
From a kindergarten friend to the dancing-queen bestie of our twenties, she’s been by my side for every major milestone. She proudly held the Maid of Honor title at my wedding, and she’s also one of my son’s Godmothers. She’s the fortunate one whose yard has been lovingly decorated on countless occasions by our Girlsquad, and she’s always up for a fun night out. You can always rely on her, and I love her dearly. She stood with me 25 years ago, and I’m deeply honored to have her stand with me again.
Maleah
Maleah and I also met in 7th grade. She, Libby, and I attended BRAVO! — an alternative junior high school — and that’s where our friendship first began. Maleah is the friend I can always rely on to talk me through difficult moments, pray with me, and discuss the Bible, which means so much to me. I love her dearly and admire her heart; she’s a beautiful friend who shares my deep love for Jesus.
Molly
Molly is the kind of friend who never lets you feel unimportant or unappreciated. I missed out on a girls’ day because I was sick, and instead of just saying, “Feel better,” she drove an hour and 45 minutes to my house just to ding-dong-ditch a homemade lasagna on my doorstep. She did the very same thing when I was struggling with panic attacks. She made that drive just to take a walk with me and remind me I wasn’t alone. That’s who Molly is. She’s always up for an adventure, always ready to laugh, and somehow manages to bring joy wherever she goes. Her heart is genuine, her friendship is unwavering, and she has a beautiful way of making the people around her feel deeply loved. Everyone deserves a Molly in their life.
She holds such a special place in my heart, and I’m beyond grateful to call her my friend.
Sarah
Sarah and I go way back too! She’s sweet with a little spicy spark, incredibly genuine, and she carries such a humble, servant-hearted spirit. Whenever there’s an opportunity to be Jesus’ hands and feet, she’s the very first to step in. She’s always watching out for everyone, gently showering people with love, encouragement, and thoughtful care, making sure you truly feel valued, seen, and special.
Jaime
Jaime is our fashionista, shining in both her outfits and vibrant personality! Classy yet delightfully sassy, she’s always up for anything and brings fearless energy to every moment. She’s brave, incredibly smart, and absolutely hilarious—her wit keeps us laughing. I’m constantly learning from her, and I feel deeply honored to be part of her circle.
