Family is not only blood

When I moved down to Lake City, I was not expecting to make best friends with our next-door neighbors or consider them family…But here we are…God had other plans!

First off, Kendall (my bestie) and Kyle, her husband (my husband’s bestie), are our twin-15 years apart. We enjoy all the same things minus me & scary movies and Halloween, but most other things we are very similar-the guys too! Such a blessing!

Then there's the kids!

When I moved down here, I wanted NOTHING to do with children, I had been a teacher for 10 years and it burnt me OUT big time! The only kids I could tolerated was my niece, then one day this sweet girl about my nieces age comes over to my house with her siblings…we start chatting and she is literally the sweetest kid! Turns out there are 4 kids in this family (soon to be 5) and every one of them are sweet, respectful and nice…I was impressed!

The more time we all spent together the more time we got close. Kendall and I bonded becuase neither of us drive and we had an inside joke from FRIENDS that we still giggle about and both of us love the movie Titnic so we always say YOU JUMP, I JUMP!

The guys bonded over softball, remote control cars, boating, gaming you name it!

The kids officiall started calling us Auntie and Uncle, I got to be in the room taking pictures when baby Archer was born and later Sean and I were asked to be his Godparents, we instantly agreed in honor and cried and then little Kown asked us to be HIS Godparents and we said “of course buddy” then I shouted “we will take them all” so we are their Godparents and honorary Uncle and Auntie and if you know me…thats a BIG DEAL!

I am so blessed to have besties from all walks of life

I am so blessed to have 4 siblings and an honorary chosen sister

I am blessed to have all of these ladies as my sisters in Christ.

One night Kendall and I were talking about how we loved Little House on the Prairie living and I said OH MY GOSH KENDALL-we live in two little houses ON PRAIRIE Street! How funny is that! We giggled and giggled about that!

God is in every detail, every corner, every piece that is woven together, he has a plan for all for us and it is so cool waiting it unfold!

Family isn’t always blood…

XOXO
